This year, the Sadie Pope Dowdell Library will be celebrating its 96th year of service!
Numerous programs are being planned – including the six-week Monday evening workshop beginning March 1 (6:30 pm “Re-create Your Life” presented by Maria Mantoudakis, a Dale Carnegie instructor, a children’s Magic Show on Monday, March 15 (7 pm), Wii Rock Band competition (6 pm) Monday, March 22 (YA - no experience necessary!), the Saturday Movie “2010” on March 13 (10 am), and the children’s film “The Princess and the Frog” on Tuesday, March 23 (6 pm).
Additionally, the following is a featured program -
“Genealogy: the Quest to Know Who We Are and Where We Came From” presented by Maureen Wlodarczyk, author of Past-Forward, on Thursday, March 18 (6:30 pm). St. Patrick’s Day is a celebration of Irish roots and culture just as Columbus Day is for those of Italian descent; those being only two examples of the special connection people enjoy in relating themselves to their ancestral roots.
